The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals, applies knowledge to identify materials when interacting with customers, and prepares loads for shipment.

About the Role
Our non-ferrous yard handles the highest-value scrap we process — copper, aluminum, brass, stainless, and specialty alloys. You'll work directly with customers and material, sorting, grading, and preparing for export.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and sort non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, brass, stainless, alloys)
- Grade incoming material and assist with weigh-ins
- Interact with customers — explain grading and pricing
- Prepare and load shipments for export
- Operate forklifts and yard equipment as required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of non-ferrous metal grades (preferred — willing to train the right person)
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer-service mindset
- Forklift certification (or willing to obtain)
- Physical ability to work outdoors year-round
